The components introduced in Unit 01 are expanded upon, allowing a candidate to consider different possibilities when choosing hardware.

Next the process of fault-finding and identifying failed hardware components is covered, along with the POST audio error codes.  The unit ends with several techniques of repairing a damaged operating system.

• Hardware Troubleshooting: A Healthy System, Power Problems, POST Error codes, Boot Failures, Peripheral Failures, Laptop Guide 
• Software Troubleshooting: Advanced Boot Options, Stop Errors (BSOD), Safe Mode, CHKDSK, FIXBOOT, FIXMBR, Repair Install, MSCONFIG, System Restore, Performance Issues, Application Problems, the Registry, Malware (Viruses)
• Duration: 25 learning hours
